We are proud to introduce a new 100% online pre-licensing 5-hour course created by OPLAND Corp and fully approved by NYS Department of Motor Vehicle. This course is mandatory to schedule road test in New York State.
Requirements
Junior permit holders (DJ/MJ class, under 18 years old) are not eligible to participate in the online course. They are required to complete a 5-hour course in the classroom (form MV-278) or a high school or college Driver Education Course (form MV-285). (Find approved classroom providers in your area on DMV NYS official web site)

Course delivery. This course will consist of a minimum 270 minutes of instructions given in accordance with a curriculum provided by the Department of Motor Vehicle. Student must complete this course within 30 calendar days.
Students must pass the identity validations before they can progress to the next section. Students will not be allowed to continue if they fail identity validations. Students who fail 3 consecutive identity validations will be prohibited from completing the course. Students who have been prohibited from completing the course may re-register for the course, but such students must start from the beginning of the course. Students can re-register at no cost.
Fee $59.00*. Students can use only one promo code if he/she has it. The payment receipt is NOT proof of official course completion.
Students will have full refund of all courses fees or reschedule the course if any problem occurs during online participation or Opland Corp unable to provide the course.
After successfully passing the course, completion information will be automatically sent to NYS DMV and may take 24-48 hours to be posted on your driver records.
Students will receive notification of completion within 24 hour of course completion. Please note: this notification of completion is not an official course completion confirmation.
Opland Corp will issue duplicate notification of course completion by student’s request with no charge. Duplicate notification will not be issued more then one (1) year after completion of course. The MV- 278 Certificate is valid for one year from the date of issuance. The certificate is not renewable. You do not need to download a certificate and do not need to bring for road test.
Student will be able to schedule road test directly after completing the pre-licensing course.
